Improvisation Xchange Berlin from July 15 – 24, 2016  presented a wide spectrum of multi- disciplinary performances and a daily program with advanced and open-level workshops. Additionally the festival serves as a platform for professional dancers, performing artists and musicians to share and learn about each others’ practices and approaches. The program focuses on Instant Composition and addresses performers, experienced movers, and people interested in instantly composed performance.
Performing artists working with dance, music, spoken poetry, singing and physical theatre, will show their recent work at Dock11, theatre. The daily workshop program will take place in the bright and beautiful Eden*****studios, Berlin. Both rank as top venues in the Berlin scene for contemporary dance and performance.
A special focus 2016 was the collaboration between voice performers and dancers in the project KlaRa plus x.

After the successful launch of the festival in Studio Boerne 45 in Berlin-Weissensee in 2013, the growing size of the event prompted a move in 2014 to  DOCK11 | EDEN studios. In 2015 and 2016 we continued our cooperation with this exceptional venue and organization.

Word has got around about the international orientation of the festival platform.
Last years` events brought together participants from over 20 countries and 5 continents, and a wide range of approaches to improvisation.

Having organized the festival for 4 years running nearly without any external funding, berlin arts united depends on donations and financial support to keep the festival alive and make it happen annually. Please support the event.
